I thought this would be a great way to "jump-start" your day! (At least it will put a smile on your face.) Sam is launching his worship leader future with an old favorite.

Getting ready for baby

So we're getting pretty close to the due date. We're trying to get everything and everyone in the Godzwa household ready to welcome our new baby boy. That includes Sam. A few months ago Jen was talking with her mom about easing Sam's transistion to a being a big brother. She had heard that it could help to give him a baby doll to give him something of his own to "take care of." Enter Baby Tiny (yes, Sam named him).

He's pretty attached to him now. Sam carries him around, gives him hugs and kisses, and asks us to give Baby Tiny hugs and kisses. He even sleeps with him every night! We were recently given a double running stroller so I decided to try it out. I strapped in Sam and right next to him sat Baby Tiny. We had a great run! When I returned to our apartment building, we got a lot of smiles and fussing from our fellow residents.

One lady stopped to look at Baby Tiny and asked, "How old is your baby...girl?"

I thought she was joking around, so I replied, "I think she's pretty old, but the funny thing is she doesn't get any bigger!" She wasn't kidding.

"No, really, how old is she?"

"You mean the doll?"

She was a little embarrassed, but it is all to help Sam become a big brother.

We'll have more from Baby Tiny later. Look for more soon.

Break? What break?

It always amazes me what students will do to serve Jesus. How about raising thousands of dollars, sacrificing a week long vacation, and spending that week working harder than you ever have to share the love of Jesus?!!! We had 20 students do just that.

They went in 3 teams to Jamaica, Mississippi, and Los Angeles. They served orphans, the homeless, and the urban poor and made a huge impact, but the trip made even more impact on them. I spoke to a Jamaica team member in my office today. He said, "I want to live that missions trip every day." Amen!

Check out some pics from the Jamaica team here
